Working on a game

Posted by DenThatDude - September 13th, 2023

So i've been working on a game for awhile now, it's a horror maze game, using griffin patch's raytracing (not the modern RTX one, the DooM 1993 raytracing but a lot less complex) method for scratch and using Turbowarp. right now the game has 5 levels made for it, i'm still working how the game will work, right now i'm trying to make it easier to go aroundd the maze with gadgets such as a compass and points, because I want the game to have no map(besides cheats or a upgrade possibly), be in the dark, and have zero objects, yeah, due to me not being able to find out how to actually put them in without having to start from scratch (LMAO), I wanted to see if I can make a fun maze game without using objects, basically only the walls and UI, right now I don't know if i'll add power ups or anything, really just a end point. Now you may be asking "well how am I going to find the exit?!?!?" well, I decided for now that you'll be able to sense the exit, basically meaning if your around the exit a thing will pop up saying your near by, I also might be able to add a noise thing where the noise gets louder the closer you are to it. For now though I haven't even added the first enemy or first 10 levels.

(sorry if this is incomprehensible)

TL;DR

making 3D game in scratch (a 2D engine) and turbowarp (scratch addon), not really done yet.
